Inspired by the great reception to his humorous readings at annual holiday luncheons hosted by the University of Georgia Department of Geography, James O. Wheeler collected three volumes of his Christmas stories, which he dubbed "real," "odd," and "astonishing" because they are meant to be taken as outrageous fabrications and fairy tale twists on reality. The first volume is Real Christmas Stories.
